The Highwayman
Media: Acrylic
Size: 15 x 30 in., gallery wrapped canvas
Painted: 2012
This piece is inspired by one of my favorite poems, The Highwayman (written by Noyes). In this piece he has just heard the gunshot and is rushing back to the inn. As a hint of what is to come, I have subtle hints of alizarin crimson as the lace at his throat. If you are interested in reading the poem, click here.
I intend on having this piece professionally scanned and offering prints which feature some part of the poem quoted.
