Marietta Square Artist Market. This is a small artist market at the heart of downtown Marietta, but it is one of my favorite little festivals to be at. The ladies that run it are nice and it is next to a farmer’s market so I like to sneak over there and do some of my own food shopping.
September 20th-21st
Roswell Arts Festival. This is one of my FAVORITE festivals to show at. I am somewhat sentimental about it. When I started doing art festivals this was the first “big” one I applied to, was accepted by, and showed at. The experience was very positive and I look forward to this festival ever year and think of it as an “anniversary” for my little art business.
09/22/2014 update: I just loved doing this festival, the weather was amazing. Who knew that Georgia could be sunny without being ridiculously humid? Every year I request the same booth space, which is on a corner underneath the Ginkgo tree. Being under that weird tree I have learned so much about it. Ginkgos apparently… have gender!? There are male and female trees which do need each other to reproduce. The female tree produces a strange, squishy fruit that smells almost exactly like dog poo. Customers that were passing by my booth would check their feet or try to dodge out of the way of what they thought must be some dog poo. The Roswell Arts Festival always sets up a large canvas that the artists paint on and I commemorated the Ginkgo on it! I was also able to show a new painting, “Autumn Rain” that I will be varnishing this week. All in all, a wonderful festival as usual.

That is all I have scheduled for September! A month with a festival that is near and dear to my heart. Now October… well… that’s another story! Looks like I am REALLY going to be hoping!
October 11th-12th
39th Annual Arts in the Park Festival (Blueridge, Ga). I have never done this festival before! I also am hesitant to ever stray from festivals that I could just drive to and perform my set up with. This festival, however, I am going to take a chance! I’ll be getting a cabin and trying out the whole weekend. So many vendors have said so many WONDERFUL things about this festival that I have been convinced to try it.
October 18th-19th
Fall Festival on Ponce. So far I have enjoyed attending the festivals that are on Ponce. There is usually a pretty good walking crowd so long as the rain doesn’t come down!

(Yea yea, I know I copied and pasted the description from above!)
Thanks!
