This painting belongs to my “Houses in Precarious Places” (or just “precarious places”) house series.
For this house I used a more famous home as a reference, which is the Harriet F. Rees House in Chicago. That home struck me as being particularly suitable for this piece because, in order to preserve it, the home was moved ONE BLOCK at a cost of $6 million. The painting is not meant to be an photographic replica of the home, but the fact I used it as my reference is pretty clear. Below is a picture of the Rees house.
