The origins of this piece has a simple beginning. I went to Korea in 2007 for a month and during that time I did a lot of traveling. During my visit I saw a lot of coy fish and I brought them home with me, in my head. May different versions of them spilled out but this painting, in particular, is the brightest. Looking at coy fish in their decorate ponds it is easy to feel that they could swim anywhere.
