This piece has a spacer between the art and the mat, which you can tell from the slight shadowing at the top of the image. This was to create a greater sense of distancing and space with the piece.
Like all of my work done with Japanese gold or silver, this piece will look great in a well lit place where the light can really hit the metallic media.
